Welcome to Rainbows Private Nursery on Somerton Lane in Newport, South Wales.

Rainbows opened in September 2004. The nursery is brightly decorated and has plenty of large windows providing all the children with light and fresh air. The nursery is warm, friendly and decorated with colourful displays to provide stimulation for all the children. The rooms are homely and comforting providing a relaxed atmosphere for each individual child. Each room displays examples of the children’s work for parents to see.

Rainbow’s is registered for 45 children. 9 children aged 0 -2 years with a staff ratio of 1 – 3, 12 children aged 2 – 3 years with a staff ratio of 1 – 4 and 24 children aged 3 - 8 years with a staff ratio of

1 - 8.

There is a large car park located at the front of the nursery with parking for several cars. There is safe access for parents who are walking their child to Rainbows. The car park has access to the front door of both nurseries. The front doors are kept locked at all times therefore parents and visitors arriving will need to ring the bell.

Rainbows staff will ensure that the children receive as much fresh air as possible during the day. There is a large secure outdoor play area for the children to use. All gates leading to this area are locked. All children attending Rainbows have the opportunity to use this at different times of the day. In the summer the children enjoy picnics, messy play, art and craft and the use of the paddling pool in the garden.

Rainbow has an open door policy which means all parents are welcome at all times. However we would appreciate it if you would make an appointment before you come to look around.
